“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’” Matt 25:34

I have a good friend in Texas that I have known since high school. Several years ago, he and his wife began having marital problems, so they split up. My friend was at the end of his rope when one day, he was at a gas station in East Texas and saw a Gospel tract on the ground. So he picked it up, read it, and invited Jesus Christ to be His Savior!

He began meeting with some Christians in the town where he lived and began growing by leaps and bounds. But he knew he had to try to get his wife back even though she wouldn’t talk to him.

So he wrote her a letter that said, “Dear Susan, I have come into a great inheritance. Contact me immediately!”
Well, sure enough, she called him and he explained how this great inheritance was nothing less than Jesus Himself. They were eventually reconciled and Susan became a believer as well. And it all happened because my friend receiving his great inheritance in Christ!

When you think about Christ, do you see Him as the true inheritance He really is? Do you treasure Him above all else? Jesus is the greatest gift you’ll ever receive. So treasure Him in your heart each day as you remember the inheritance you have in Him!
